Its a great application, with an encyclopedic appraisal of spices, sauces, and mixtures. There are a few shortcomings with the spelling of some names that need a careful revision (sauses, for sauces; caumberland, for Cumberland; bearnez, for béarnaise, for instance). Otherwise is an excellent reference.

I am an average cook but am trying to expand in more types of food . Sometimes I am not sure what a spice is or what other things I can use it in and it tells you how its made what it looks like informs you on what other spices you can add with it. I just love knowing how to use spices in my food not for hotness but flavor.

Ive had this app for a very short time but I enjoyed using it. I love the suggestions that come with the history of the spice or herb. Im expanding my cooking into middle eastern and African cooking. This app will come in very handy in my explorations.
